Tap to Pay on Android: password required

When you enable Tap to Pay on your Android device, you need to set a password to unlock your smartphone or tablet. If there’s no password, Tap to Pay won’t work and will show the error message 'Missing authentication'.

If you see this error, check your device settings and set up a password that is required when turning on the device. Once that’s done, Tap to Pay should work again.
