Back Office and POS services

unTill Air is divided into two main services: the Back Office and the Point-of-Sale (POS):

  • The Back Office is dedicated to internal operations such as creating Articles (your products), setting up prices, and managing features available in the location (your business). In the Back Office, the Location Owners can make changes and track their business operations.

  • The POS focuses on managing orders, checking out clients, and accepting payments. It uses the products and functions you set in the Back Office. POS Users are responsible for these actions.

User roles

Users of unTill Air can be assigned to different roles.

RoleResponsibilities

Location Owner

Back Office: creates articles, views reports, manages location settings etc.

POS User

POS: handles and manages orders, accepts payments etc.

Location Owner and POS User

The Location Owner is a unique user within unTill Air who holds an account and arranges a subscription. The Location Owner cannot work in the POS but can manage the Back Office. Additionally, the Location Owner manages POS Users.

Note: To run the POS, the Location Owner must add at least one POS User.

The POS User cannot manage the Back Office acting as a Location Owner. POS Users work only with the unTill Air app and manage orders there.

unTill Payments

In unTill Air, you have access to the payment system called unTill Payments. This system, created in partnership with Adyen, allows you to accept cashless payments using terminals linked to the location and integrated into POS. This means you no longer need to manually enter the amounts from your POS on payment terminals. It will be done automatically and instantly, ensuring a hassle-free solution.

It's important to note that such a kind of payment can be processed only through unTill Payments.

With unTill Payments, you will receive automated daily payouts based on the transactions that were made through the payments system.

You can submit a request to access unTill Payments through the settings within the Back Office.

Equipment

For using unTill Air you need some devices, like screens that are referred to phones, tablets etc. These devices are added and linked to the location in the Back Office before the app can be used on them.

Note: To add and link a screen to your location, first you need to install the unTill Air app on your device from either the App Store, Google Play store, or Sunmi store. For more information on how to install the app, refer to this page.

Screens allow POS Users to manage orders, accept payments, and send closing Z and X reports.

Also, you can add printers and terminals to your location and start using them with unTill Air.
