Automatic Reason


Who can use this feature?

If you configure Reasons, POS Users can apply them when performing Discounts.

However, if you want the Reason to be applied automatically, without requiring action from the POS User, you can set fixed text Reasons or fill in the field one of the existing Reasons for this purpose.

Note: The void Reasons cannot be applied automatically. The POS Users must always select a relevant reason after performing a void.

The Reasons applied to the corresponding Discounts will be shown in the reports of the Back Office allowing the Location Owner to stay informed about the details of applying Discounts.

If you want to set a Discount Reason to be applied automatically, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Discounts.

  2. Click 'Add new discount' or edit an existing one.

  3. Select whether 'Ask reason' or 'Fixed text reason'.

  • In the field 'Discount reason type', select the 'Fixed text' option.

  • In the next field, enter the text Reason for this Discount.

  1. Click 'Save'.

After applying the Discount Reasons, the POS Users will not be prompted to select a Reason.
