Who can use this feature?

While creating a Menus, you need to either assign it to an already existing Department or create a new Department and assign a menu to it.

New Department

• Navigate to Products > Departments.

• Create a new Department.

Existing Department

Continue to the next sections of the manual, and when the need arises, select one of your existing Departments to proceed.

Tip: In unTill Air, all Menus are organised within Departments. You can create a dedicated Department specifically for Menus if necessary.

To manage a menu, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Products > Menus.

2. Click 'Add new menu'.

3. Provide a name for your new menu.

4. Assign a menu to a Department and Spaces.

5. Click 'New item group'.

6. Provide a name for your new 'Item group' and select Course.

Note: The sequence of the menu items displayed in the POS is determined by the order in which you configure this menu. You can change this order using the 'POS display sequence' feature.

7. Click 'New item' and search for an Article you want to add to this menu item. Use a search functionality for this, start typing the name of your Article and then select it.

8. Take note of the 'Allow to skip' feature.

'Allow to skip' lets your customers ignore one 'Item group' (group of Articles for your menu) within the entire menu without paying any additional charges.

Note: When ordering Menus in the POS, all menu items must be ordered except for those that are allowed to skip in the Back Office.

9. Create other 'Item groups'.

You can use the 'POS Display Sequence' button to set the order in which menu items are displayed in the POS. This sequence determines on which menu item the POS User will be able to defer the ordering of entire Menu according to the desires of the customers.

Menu items must be ordered in the right order. The POS User must select each item (except the menu items allowed to skip) in the predetermined sequence and cannot proceed to the next menu item without ordering the previous one.

This way how the 'POS display sequence' feature affects on the ability to defer a Menu ordering.

10. Click 'Save'.
