Use Menus
Who can use this feature?

To use a menu in the POS, please follow these steps:
Open the unTill Air app on your screen.
Create an order using a menu which you have created.
Select the dishes from the 'Item groups'.
Note: You can only skip the 'Item group' designated as 'allowing to skip' in the Back Office.
Order one Article from each 'Item group'. Select only one Article per 'Item group'.
You have the ability to change a selected Article while ordering a menu. For more information, read one of the next sections.
Note: When ordering a menu, you can only apply mandatory Modifiers; optional Modifiers are not permitted.
Click the 'Ok' button to confirm the order for any 'Item group'.
Tip: You can click 'Ok' and order the already selected menu Articles within any 'Item group'. This means that you can defer the ordering of entire menu. For details, read the next section.
To complete a menu, double tap on the menu.
Note: You are unable to add messages to the Menu while ordering.
Complete a deferred menu
While ordering in the POS, you can defer completing a menu. For example, if the customer is still deciding what to choose, you can confirm the order and continue serving other tables. The order ticket will be issued at the preparation printer as usual. So, the kitchen staff can already start to prepare the ordered dishes.
Then, you can return to the order with the incomplete menu and finalise it by adding the desired menu items.
To complete a deferred menu, please follow these steps:
Create an order with a menu.
Order the menu items without selecting one of them.
Click 'Ok'.
Confirm the order by tapping ✅.
Tap on this table again.
Double tap the uncompleted menu in the order list.
Order menu items that you have not ordered yet.
You won't be able to proceed with checkout without completing the bill. If there is an incomplete menu and you tap on the 'Checkout' button, a pop-up displaying the menu items that have not yet been ordered will appear.
Change a selected menu item
While ordering in the POS, you can change the Article within a menu item. For example, this feature can be useful, if the customer changes their mind and wants to order another Article from a specific menu item.
Note: You cannot change the Article within a menu item once you have already confirmed the order.
To change a selected menu item, please follow these steps:
Create an order with a menu.
Order all menu items.
Tap on the menu item in the order list.
You will see ordered Articles in the column 'Options'.
Tap on the Article you would like to change.
Select another Article from those that appear in this column.
