User codes serve as login details for POS users to access the POS. When a user opens the unTill Air app, it asks them to enter a user code. This helps to make sure only people with granted access can use the POS and every POS session is identified making personalised reports and permission management possible in unTill Air.
User codes can be set when creating new POS users or editing existing ones.
For more information on how to manage POS users, including setting their User code, refer to this page.
User code is used to personalise working in the POS. In unTill Air you need to assign unique user codes to each POS user.
The user codes allow the employees to access the POS under their own name (printed on the tickets). Also, the language for the user and specific permissions that are indicated in the Back Office are respected.
The tickets and reports display the name of the POS user, which is determined by the user code entered at the time of opening the POS. Additionally, as a Location Owner, you can access POS users' reports from the Back Office to gain insights about their performance and specific actions such as opening the cash drawer.
The display name of the POS user is shown on the tables where this specific user placed an order.
The user code ensures that no one, except POS users, will have access to the POS on your screens.
For more information on how to enter POS using the user code, refer to this page.
After a certain duration of inactivity in the unTill Air app, a POS user will be logged off automatically. To continue, they will need to enter their User code again. Note that this function is optional and can be configured in the Location settings.
