To start using a Modifier in the POS, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the unTill Air app on your screen.

  2. Create an order using the Article with a Modifier.

  3. Your next steps depend on the type of Modifiers you want to apply:

Use Optional Modifier

  • After you order an Article with an optional Modifier, a special column will appear

  • In this column, the Modifiers will be listed

  • Select the desired Modifier and proceed with the order

Optional Modifier button

If the Article / Department has mandatory Modifiers assigned, you will get a pop-up with a need to choose one of the Modifiers. After selecting a mandatory Modifier, you will see this Modifier in the column of options.

But this Article / Department can have the optional Modifiers as well that are not visible (because the mandatory ones are shown).

In such a case, you need to tap on the 'Optional modifiers' button, and you will see that the corresponding Modifiers appear in the column of options.

The optional Modifiers icon in the POS looks like this:

Use Mandatory Modifier

  • You will be straight away prompted to select the Modifier

  • This item can be sold solely with a Modifier.

  • Select the desired Modifier and proceed with the order.

Remove Modifier

To remove an optional Modifier (mandatory Modifier cannot be removed), please follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the Article with the Modifier in the order list.

  2. Tap 'Undo modifier'.

  3. The Modifier will be removed. You can continue ordering.

Note: You can use the 'Undo modifier' button only if you have an Article with an unconfirmed Modifier. It means that you have not pressed the 'confirm' button or made 'Checkout'.

Change ordered Modifier

To change ordered Modifier, please follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the Article with the Modifier in the order list.

  2. Tap on the selected Modifier in the 'Options' column.

  3. Other available Modifiers will appear

  4. Select the desired Modifier.

Note: Changes of Modifiers within a Menu or Combi deal are not possible.

Order an Article with two types of Modifiers

When you have both mandatory and optional Modifiers assigned to an Article, ordering this Article in the POS will display only the mandatory Modifiers in the 'Options' column. The optional Modifiers can be accessed and ordered through the 'Optional modifiers' button.

Free addons / Paid addons

In the POS, you can sort the Modifiers assigned to a Department using two buttons: 'Free addons', 'Paid addons'.

Note: These buttons don't affect Modifiers assigned to Articles, only assigned to Departments.

When you tap on these buttons, the corresponding Modifiers (either indicated as 'Free add-on' or 'Paid add-on') will appear in the 'Options' column.

Note: These Modifier types are not related to the Modifier's price. You can specify whether a Modifier is a 'Free add-on' or a 'Paid add-on' only on the page where the Modifier is created, or on the Department page, where you have the option to place the corresponding Modifiers in the designated fields.
