Who can use this feature?
If a client comes to a Point-of-Sale and makes an order but prefers to pay later, you can use the unTill Air feature called 'Order names.' This function allows you to enter a custom name and display it on a specific table.
Using the 'Order name' feature, you can assign a particular customer's name to a table and continue ordering for this client, keeping in mind that the table hasn't been paid yet. This feature provides a clear overview of the open and unpaid tables.
This way, you can create a special Space and put some orders on account to the tables in this Space using the order names feature. Even though you are working mostly in direct sales on one of the devices, you still can benefit from the order names by creating this Space and assigning custom client names to them.
For example, you can create a Space 'Clients' and add 50 tables to this Space. Then when you have an order that needs to be paid later, you open one table from the 'Clients' Space and assign a name to this order as described step-by-step below. The table stays open and you can finalise the bill for it later.
Also, a customer's name will be printed on all preparation tickets as well as on proformas and bills allowing you to know for whom you are serving and who is going to be billed.
Later on, when the customer is ready to settle the bill for everything that was ordered on this table and assigned to their name, you can accept this payment and finalise the bill as usual. The client's name will disappear from the table and the table itself will be closed.
You can enter a custom name for an order and make it displayed on a table in two different ways:

To assign a name to a table when creating an order, please follow these steps:
Open the unTill Air app.
Create an order and take a look at the POS actions bar (right sidebar on tablets; at the bottom on phones)
Tap on the 'Order name' button.
The pop-up with a field for a custom name will appear.
Enter a client's name and tap on the 'Ok' button.
The name will be displayed on a table instead of the table number. So, you can see the name of the client on the top, time in the middle, and the user's name at the bottom.
To assign a name to a table for already created order from the table plan, please follow these steps:
Open the unTill Air app.
From the table plan, tap on the 'Order name' button.
The pop-up with a field for a custom name will appear.
Enter a client's name and tap on the 'Ok' button.
The name will be displayed on a table insted of the table number. So, you can see the name of the client on the top, time in the middle, and the user's name at the bottom.
Also, a custom name you assigned to an order in the POS will be printed on all preparation tickets and bill tickets as well as on proformas.
Note: When using the order name feature in the direct sales mode, this custom name will not be shown anywhere in the POS as there are no tables in the direct sales but still will be printed on all tickets. So, though working in direct sales, you can find this feature useful for your business since it becomes helpful for your team in the kitchen for instance to see a client's name on preparation tickets.
