POS users

Who are POS users?

POS user is an employee who works with a sales register app and handles orders and payments. Depending on the type of business (restaurant, retail shop, beauty etc.), it could be a waiter or a cashier etc.

Sales modes and POS users

In the unTill Air app, POS users can work in either Table plan or Direct sales modes (depending on your business needs).

If Table plan mode is selected when linking a screen, the POS user will be able to work with tables and process orders on them.

In Direct sales mode, POS users check out customers immediately without placing orders on tables.

For details on sales modes, refer to this page.

User code

To identify each POS user in unTill Air and let them log in to the POS, you need to provide them with a unique user code while adding a new POS user to the location.

For more information on how to set user code, refer to this page.

For more details about the user code, refer to this page.

Permissions for POS users

In unTill Air, you can allow or disallow POS users to perform specific actions like reopening of an order, opening a cash drawer, voiding article etc.

Permissions:

You can set these permissions on the page of creating and editing a POS user. For more information on how to do this, refer to this page.

POS user's performance

As a Location Owner, you can track and evaluate your waiters' performance in the Back Office through the reports section.

In unTill Air, to track the performance of the waiters you can view the following reports:

X report and Z report

POS users are responsible for sending Z-X reports from the unTill Air app.

The Z report is an obligatory fiscal document that must be issued at the end of the business day or shift. POS users cannot set the 'From' date and time because the Z report automatically includes the date and time of the last printed Z report. The POS users can only modify the 'Till' date and time.

The X report serves as an internal document for the location, and POS users can set its 'From' and 'Till' date and time.
