Manage POS users

Who can use this feature?

Since your first steps in unTill Air, you already have at least one POS user (employee).

Now let's take a closer look at how to add other POS users letting them log in to the POS and manage their rights.

After adding a POS user to the Back Office, they can enter the POS on their screen under the user code set in the Back Office for them by a Location Owner.

To add a new POS user, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to POS users.

  2. Click 'Add new user'.

  3. Enter the 'display name'.

The field 'display name' assumes that the indicated information will be presented in the POS and on the tickets and reports.

  1. Enter the first name and last name.

  2. Select the language for the user.

Note: The language of the POS user affects the POS display in the unTill Air app. The POS user will see the interface in the language that you have previously set in the Back Office. The language of the POS user doesn't affect the language of the ticket that can be set in the Location settings.

  1. Select the permissions you would like to grant your users with (tick relevant checkboxes):

You can either allow a POS user to make voids, transfer tables, redirect printers, reopen orders, and open the cash drawer or not allow them to do this.

Note: If POS users don't have permission to perform some actions, but face a situation that necessitates such functions, they should ask for assistance from the Location Owner or other POS users who have these permissions.

You can always adjust the permissions of POS users in the backoffice by double-clicking on the POS user name (editing) and checking/unchecking corresponding boxes.

  1. Enter the user code for this specific POS user to grant them access to the POS system.

For more information about the User code, refer to this page.

  1. Other information located in the section 'Additional' is not obligatory to complete. There you are able to indicate the contacts and other personal details of the POS user.

The system doesn't use this personal data. This only serves to keep the information inside the Back Office for your increased convenience.

  1. Click 'Save'.
