Auto logoff
Who can use this feature?
This feature allows you to set a specific time duration beyond which the POS user will be logged out automatically if there is no action within the specified period of time.
Auto logoff is a convenient feature for employees who need to hand over their screen to someone else at the location. It helps to make sure that all POS users work with the system under their own names, eliminating the need to manually log out before giving the screen to another person.
You can track the time remaining before the log out following the auto logoff on the left sidebar: at the bottom left on tablets, and at the top left on phones.
Note: The auto logoff timer does not count down while the POS user is active in the POS and being on the order screen.
To set up and manage the auto logoff feature in your location, please follow these steps:
Navigate to the 'Settings'.
Switch to the tab 'Location' on this page.
In the field 'Auto logoff', enter time in seconds after which you want the POS users to be logged out automatically from the POS system.
Note: To reset this setting and do not 'log out' the POS users after the indicated time has expired, enter 0 in the auto logoff field. When you enter 0 as a time period in this setting it means that the auto logoff feature is disabled.
After entering the time in seconds, click 'Save'.
This way, you can manage the auto logoff feature in the Back Office (location settings).
